We have had some enquiries concerning a BBC programme last week called ‘Alzheimer’s The Musical’. The programme presented evidence that singing can be a useful stimulus for the brain, which is more effective at retaining words when used in song and music. Singing is therefore a useful and enjoyable stimulus for anyone with dementia.
